説明

Steps

  1. Settings > Advanced > turn on Developer mode.
  2. Open the right sidebar (t r) and pick "(Dev) Profiler".
  3. Type cc into the input next to "Register fn" (any name that is not a loaded function, such as a typo).
  4. Click "Register fn".

Expected

The name is refused with a message, or nothing happens.

Actual

An uncaught exception from the click handler, Error: fn-sym not found: cc (a cljs.core/ExceptionInfo), reported to the window as uncaught. Nothing tells the user why nothing happened.

Cause

register-fn! in src/main/frontend/handler/profiler.cljs throws (ex-info (str "fn-sym not found: " fn-sym) {}) when the name does not resolve, and the button's :on-click in src/main/frontend/components/profiler.cljs calls it without a catch. It also calls (assert (qualified-symbol? fn-sym)), which throws for a name without a namespace in builds that keep asserts.

Found by a monkey test (gremlins.js with trusted Playwright input) of the web build of master 16c4ed1a0, seed 203, action 227. The steps above reproduced it 2 of 2 times on that build.
