The current mock server is mainly used in e2e tests. It can also be used during the general development of Outpost and potentially in the quick start example as well.

Currently, it only mocks Webhook destination.

We should also support MQs as well. When a new mq destination is add, it should:

  • declare MQ
  • spawn a goroutine to subscribe to incoming events

Optional:

  • The mock server should accept a config of existing destinations to support on startup. This would be ideal for a clean UX, especially in the quick start flow for onboarding users.
