Summary
The docs tell users to enable auto-update for the hyperframes marketplace via /plugin → Marketplaces → hyperframes → Enable auto-update, but don't say this toggle only exists in the Claude Code terminal (CLI) /plugin UI.

README.md(line ~45): "Enable auto-update for the hyperframes marketplace in/plugin→ Marketplaces, ..."docs/guides/plugins.mdx(line ~45): "Enable automatic updates: run/plugin, open Marketplaces, select hyperframes, and choose Enable auto-update."
Neither says which Claude Code surface this applies to.
Problem
In the IDE extension / Desktop app, the "Manage Plugins" dialog has no auto-update toggle on its Marketplaces tab. A user following the docs from there can't find the option and may assume the plugin is set up wrong. Third-party marketplaces default to auto-update off, so those users stay on stale plugin versions without realizing it.
Suggested fix
- Add a note next to the instruction that the toggle is only available in the terminal
/pluginUI, and to runclaudein a terminal to enable it. This works even if the plugin was installed from the IDE. - Optionally, document the
"autoUpdate": truefield on the marketplace entry underextraKnownMarketplacesin the Claude Code settings file, as a non-UI alternative. (Claude Code's docs describe this field for managed settings; it would be worth confirming whether it is honored in~/.claude/settings.jsonbefore documenting it.)
