This is a proposal, not a defined task: the issue asks whether an optional Snug adapter belongs in ECA Desktop and where it should live. The payload names the chat/prompt and chat/contentReceived methods as the mapping targets, plus streaming, cancellation, tool disabling and sandbox boundaries. Start by reading the ECA protocol handlers for those methods, then decide with the maintainer whether the work is a design discussion. Done would mean an agreed adapter location and boundary plan, not code.

Hi Eric,
I'm building Snug, an independent project for portable HTML apps that use their host's agent and keep their code and data in a SQLite-backed .snug file.
I'd like to explore a small, optional app pane in ECA Desktop. Snug already has the sandboxed runner and storage; the ECA adapter is still a proposal.
The host would map Snug's AgentTransport onto chat/prompt and chat/contentReceived, including streaming, cancellation, errors and the structured JSON response Snug expects.
For a first pass, I'd disable all tools and exclude workspace context, including automatically added context. ECA's remembered approvals are now scoped to each chat and its subagents, but the runtime chat would still need explicit restrictions. Imported HTML and instructions would stay untrusted, with no direct network access or Electron bridge access. Those Desktop boundaries would need testing.
A quiz app could be the first test: paste text, generate questions through ECA, save progress, then reopen the .snug file in the Snug reference host. I haven't tested that round trip yet.
