In additional to the copy, paste action in the navigator it would be great to have a cut option. Currently JDT overrides the actions for Java projects so in platfrom we could implement it for non Java-projects and to have it also for JDT we would have to implement in also in JDT.
Requirement for JDT: Cut Action Availability in Project Explorer
The Cut action shall not be available in the Project Explorer for Java projects under the current implementation of Eclipse JDT. This is due to the JavaNavigatorActionProvider replacing the default EditActionProvider and only contributing Copy, Paste, and Delete actions.
The behavior shall be independent of the active perspective. The override is bound to the org.eclipse.jdt.java.ui.javaContent content extension and applies to the viewer with ID org.eclipse.ui.navigator.ProjectExplorer. Therefore, the override shall be active in all perspectives whenever the selection corresponds to a resource within a Java project.
For non-Java projects (i.e., projects without Java nature), the default EditActionProvider shall remain active. In these cases, the Cut action shall be available in the Project Explorer.
To ensure consistent behavior across project types, the JavaNavigatorActionProvider shall be extended to include support for the Cut action.
