Please add an --exclude flag to databricks bundle deploy, complementing the existing --select option. This would allow users to deploy all resources except those explicitly excluded.
Our use case requires deployment in two stages:
- Deploy prerequisite resources, such as schemas and volumes, while excluding Genie spaces.
- Deploy Genie spaces once the prerequisite resources are available with
--select.
Using --select for the first stage requires explicitly listing every resource to deploy and maintaining that list as the bundle changes. An --exclude flag would simplify this workflow by allowing us to specify only the resources to defer.
