Describe the Bug
I tried the Project Gutenberg ePub of Alice in Wonderland https://www.gutenberg.org/ebooks/28885 as the very first book to read with CrossPoint Reader 1.5.0 in August, and ran into some rendering issues with images appearing almost all black with a few speckles of white/grey. This edition used an image for the first letter of each chapter, which was illegible.
I had been meaning to work out how to take screenshots (or take photos), but found this exact issue used to highlight improvements in the Witchhunt fork, eg. https://github.com/jpirnay/witchhunt-reader/tree/2.31
I suspect they fixed this by vendoring TJpgDec — Tiny JPEG Decompressor by ChaN (R0.03) — baseline-JPEG decode engine for the EPUB image path. http://elm-chan.org/fsw/tjpgd/ — Copyright (C) 2021 ChaN, BSD-1-Clause.
Work around: For Alice in Wonderland the Standard eBooks edition worked beautifully https://standardebooks.org/ebooks/lewis-carroll/alices-adventures-in-wonderland/

- Copy to Xteink X4 SD card
- Open book on xteink X4
- Click next page a few times
