What would you like containerbase to do?
Set up the containerbase folders from the CLI in install-containerbase, instead of the shell setup_directories.
- The CLI is already installed before
setup_directoriesruns, and jq is installed withinstall-toolafterwards. - Move the folder setup into the CLI (
ensureBasePaths/ensureTmpLink):tools,env,versions,bin,data,lib,ssl,tool.init.d,tool.prep.d- the v2
binandliblinks - the home links (
~/.cache,~/.config,~/.local)
- The tmp dir handling from #7828 then lives in the CLI and the entrypoint only; the entrypoint stays shell so a container start doesn't launch the CLI.
utils/tmp-dir.shand the shell helpers stay as long as v2 shell tools are supported (custom images can still add them), and go with their removal in a major.
