As reported by https://github.com/NixOS/nixpkgs/issues/567933, the test suite does not handle a disabled listxattr syscall.

Specifically the gendir script does handle failures: https://github.com/composefs/composefs/commit/b23247f87cd6ad818ba381917236c6d0d58de135

But the dumpdir script does not:
https://github.com/composefs/composefs/blob/main/tests/dumpdir#L56

This kept working because the gendir never generated extended attributes due to the fallback mentioned above, so listxattr was always empty and so getxattr was never called. But now the listxattr call also throws an ENOTSUP and this failure mode gets triggered.
