まず、macOS 上の Chrome、Ubuntu 24.04 上のリモート code-server インスタンス、および Open VSIX の Claude Code 拡張機能を使って問題を再現します。Claude Code の添付フローと Copilot ボタンを比較し、そのうえでファイル選択の動作をどちら側が担っているのかを特定します。「Upload from computer」でローカルマシンではなくリモートマシン上のファイルが選択されれば完了です。

Steps to Reproduce
- Install Claude Code extension from Open VSIX: https://open-vsx.org/extension/Anthropic/claude-code
- Open its window from the side bar and start a new session
- Click the + button, choose "Upload from computer"
Expected
I should be able to select files from the remote machine
Actual
It shows files on the local machine

Are you accessing code-server over a secure context?
- I am using a secure context.
Notes
So, I'm not even sure which side is this relevant to. But this is very bizarre, and the equivalent button in Copilot works the correct way by allowing to choose remote files.
Mainly writing here to leave a record and start the discussion if others have had this issue as well.
