調査の方向性

eu-west-1 の Amazon SES コンソールから開始し、Easy DKIM を有効にして codebar.io ドメイン ID を作成します。Cloudflare DNS に 3 つの CNAME レコードと、必要な SPF または DMARC レコードを追加します。SES が検証の成功を報告し、表示された料金がコメントに記録されていれば完了です。

Part of replacing SendGrid with Amazon SES. Work happens in the same AWS account as our S3 usage (see #2235), in region eu-west-1 (Ireland — matches our Heroku EU region).

Steps

  • Create a domain identity for codebar.io in the SES console (eu-west-1)
  • Enable Easy DKIM (2048-bit default) and collect the three CNAME records
  • Add the DKIM CNAME records (plus SPF/DMARC records if not already present) to codebar.io DNS
  • Confirm DKIM verification shows "Success" for the domain identity
  • Note which pricing structure the console shows (Essentials plan at $0.16/1,000 vs the classic à la carte rate at $0.10/1,000) and record it in a comment

Who this needs

All prerequisites are met: Morgan has AWS IAM access to the S3 account (see #2235) and manages codebar.io DNS via Cloudflare, so this issue can start immediately — DKIM CNAME records can be added directly once SES issues them. (Any other DNS records for the domain also live in Cloudflare, worth keeping in mind if SPF/DMARC records are added.)
