The docs build prints a notice from Material for MkDocs about MkDocs 2.0 (https://squidfunk.github.io/mkdocs-material/blog/2026/02/18/mkdocs-2.0/). We're on mkdocs==1.6.1, mkdocs-material==9.7.7 and mkdocs-static-i18n==1.3.0.

To do

  • Check whether mkdocs-static-i18n and Material support MkDocs 2.0, and what changes in mkdocs.yml.
  • Upgrade in one PR. mkdocs build --strict must stay green, and the Persian site must stay right-to-left.
  • Keep docs/requirements.txt on the newest releases. Dependabot doesn't watch that file yet, so add a pip ecosystem entry for /docs.
