policyengine_us/parameters/gov/states/ma/tax/income/credits/child_and_family/elderly_age_limit.yaml sets the credit's age test at 65 from 2021 and cites only the Form 1 instructions. Lawmakers wrote that test into two subsections of M.G.L. c.62 §6:
- For 2021 and 2022, they set it in §6(y)(ii)(A): a household member "not less than 65 years of age or who is disabled". They added (y) in Acts 2021 c.24 §29, applied it from tax year 2021 in §141, and struck it in Acts 2023 c.50 §21. In the same folder, disabled_spouse_eligible.yaml cites Acts 2023 c.50 twice, once for §21 and once for §49, with the same link. One entry for "Sections 21 and 49" would match amount.yaml since #10651.
Neither fix changes a parameter value.
