Place. hypha_make_relative() in system/core/base.php (main 41482e9), called by wikify() when a page, the header, the footer or the menu is saved.
Problem. A protocol-relative URL (//host/path) loses its first slash on a site installed at /. The function removes the root path of the site (/) from every URL that starts with it, so //i.creativecommons.org/l/by-sa/3.0/88x31.png becomes /i.creativecommons.org/l/by-sa/3.0/88x31.png, a path on the site itself.
Effect. Sites installed with the installer of 2020 (145abcc) have the Creative Commons image in their footer as //i.creativecommons.org/.... After the footer is saved once in Settings, the image gives 404 on every page, and the browser console reports it. The same happens to any image or link written as //host/path in a page.
Reproduce.
- Log in as administrator on a site at
/. - In Settings → site elements, put
<img src="//i.creativecommons.org/l/by-sa/3.0/88x31.png">in the footer and save. data/hypha.xmlnow holdssrc="/i.creativecommons.org/l/by-sa/3.0/88x31.png"; the page shows a broken image.
Fix. Return a URL that starts with // unchanged before the root path is removed. A footer that was already changed has to be corrected once by hand, for example to https://i.creativecommons.org/l/by-sa/3.0/88x31.png.
