調査の方向性
This is open-ended research rather than a code change, and the payload names no files, tests or entry points. A newcomer would need to read the two existing comments and the simtrial simulation code to understand where time is spent before evaluating a GPU path (polars GPU engine, CUDA from Rust) or a Rust rewrite with extendr and PyO3 bindings. Done means a written comparison of options, with benchmarks against the current R implementation, that the maintainers can decide on.

説明
Two things to research as we got reliable AI agents:
- GPU backend: polars GPU engine + Cox kernel for accelerating simulation of much larger populations. This might be easier to do in Python because the ecosystem is there: polars GPU support was Python only. Although "NVIDIA CUDA Rust" is now released.
- Rust backend: complete rewrite for maximize CPU performance. This can have R (via extendr) and Python (via PyO3) frontends.
