Start by trying to reproduce the issue in Firefox, especially after creating a dragged curve with the pen tool; the report does not name a file, test, or steps that reliably trigger it. If you can reproduce it, trace the pen tool's input handling and add a regression test where appropriate. Done means the pen tool no longer starts as if dragged, with the reproduction verified.

Took an annoyingly long time to catch. I find it is more likely to occur after creating a dragged curve with the pen tool previously. Though I can't say for sure.
