This is a design discussion before it is a patch: scope, default chunk size and where summaries are stored all need a maintainer decision, so a newcomer cannot tell what 'done' means from the issue alone.

Hey, i use this tool for my big project and i got some problems with my claude agents when they build only two chanks for a lot of files. When I split the chunks into smaller pieces, the entire process took no more than 5 minutes, whereas before the split, the task took over an hour using the Claude agent.
