Context
externalize ancestry needs every ledger-*.xdr.gz file between the target and the certified ledger. Proving a ledger from a week back means about 1,500 files, listed one by one. History archives keep them under ledger/xx/yy/zz/.
Scope
- Let
--headersalso take a directory. Walk it recursively and load every file namedledger-????????.xdr.gz. - Load only the checkpoints between the target and the certified ledger (
archive::checkpointgives the file for a sequence), so a full mirror isn't read into memory. - Keep the "header missing" error naming the ledger, and add the expected file path to it.
Done when
- A CLI test passes a directory laid out like an archive (
ledger/03/dc/a2/…) and proves 64791250. - A test shows that files outside the needed range aren't read.
- The README command table mentions directories.
