Problem to solve
Residents have to scroll through every task to find one nearby or worth their time. No way to narrow it down.
Desired outcome
A resident can open the app, apply filters (distance from campus, category like yard work/moving/pet care, and minimum payout), and see a list of matching tasks update in real time. Finding a relevant bounty should take seconds, not endless scrolling.
Proposed solution
Add a search bar plus filter chips/dropdowns at the top of the task feed (location radius, category, payout range). Sort results by newest, closest, or highest paying. Keep it simple. just filter on existing post data, no map view needed yet.
Alternatives considered
Just a plain chronological feed: with no filters rejected because it doesn't scale once there are more than a handful of posts.
A full interactive map view: nice to have, but too much scope for an early sprint; can be a later iteration.
