Description:
We've got some way of generating future EPW files (namely the old CCWWG method, translated to Python for speediness here - https://github.com/BHoM/LadybugTools_Toolkit/tree/LBTools_Toolkit-%2362-EPWForecast/LadybugTools_Engine/Python/src/ladybugtools_toolkit/ccwwg ... please ignore the monolith of a file 😄), but it's a bit old-school, doesn't use more up-to-date forecast models and could be improved upon.
I've recently started testing this - pyepwmorph, which seems to be working quite well. I don't quite agree with how the code is laid out and it could be made much faster, but we could easily wrap this to be able to target specific forecasts for a given EPW file to use in our simulations.
There's also epwsh which is effectively the same thing but for R instead.
How we go about doing this is up for debate, though one thing is for certain, we need to be very specific with where the data is coming from, what it represents and the limitations of it - so loads of warning messages, info boxes, references, etc.
