The payload names no source files; it only describes the symptom (HTTP 525, SSL handshake failed) seen in the Extensions → Browse view of the Electron client. Start by finding where the marketplace base URL is configured and confirm the request the client actually sends, then reproduce the failure with curl against that endpoint to see whether it is the Cloudflare-to-origin TLS setup rather than client code. Done looks like the Browse tab loading extensions again, which may require a maintainer-side or infrastructure change rather than a patch in this repository, so ask in the issue before starting.

When I open the Extensions → Browse section in Recordly, the extensions marketplace does not load.

Instead, I get the following error:

Marketplace API error 525: SSL handshake failed

The error appears in the Extensions browser, and the marketplace content does not load.

I have attached a screenshot showing the issue.

I’m not sure what is causing the SSL handshake failure, but I wanted to report it in case there is an issue with the Marketplace API or its connection.

Expected behavior

The Extensions → Browse section should successfully connect to the marketplace API and display the available extensions without showing an API/SSL error.

To Reproduce

Steps to reproduce:

  1. Open Recordly.
  2. Open Extensions.
  3. Select the Browse tab.
  4. The marketplace fails to load and displays the API error 525.

I also wanted to say thank you for building Recordly. I've been looking for a tool like this for around five months, and I'm genuinely excited to have found a free and open-source project like this.

I'm a student and developer, and I'd love to contribute to Recordly in the future. I'd be happy to help with bug fixes, testing, documentation, UI/UX improvements, or other areas where contributors are needed.
