Start by reading the useradd -Z, usermod -Z, and userdel -Z handling for semanage login, including the --selinux-range paths. Exercise them on an SELinux-enforcing host with a real semanage, then check the exit codes when it fails and the userdel -Z -P refusal. Done when the failure codes are established and that refusal prints a message.

Descrizione

useradd -Z, usermod -Z and userdel -Z (and --selinux-range) run semanage login. Tests cover the arguments and failure handling only: semanage itself has never been run, and nothing has run on an SELinux kernel.

To do:

  • exercise them on an SELinux-enforcing host;
  • establish the exit code when semanage fails. 14 for useradd and 1 for usermod and userdel were chosen, not probed;
  • userdel -Z with -P is refused with a bare exit 2 and no message: add one.
