Compare the per-field work bound and compiling look-through patterns once, then measure whether either removes the slowdown while preserving redaction through invisible characters. What
The egress redactor matches credential patterns through invisible characters so a split key name cannot evade it. On a page whose text is dense with credential-shaped strings the double redaction pass is measurably slow.
Direction
Profile the pass on a synthetic worst case, then either bound the work per field (fields are already bounded in length on model surfaces) or compile the look-through patterns once.
