Descrizione

Publishing 3.6.0 surfaced two problems that make every release harder and the package look unmaintained.

Missing LICENSE file

Transloadit.podspec declares s.license = { :type => 'MIT', :file => 'LICENSE' }, but the repository has no LICENSE file. CocoaPods warns about it on every pod trunk push, and the MIT license itself asks for its text to ship with the software, so license scanners find nothing for this SDK.

  • Add an MIT LICENSE file, like our other SDKs have (e.g. transloadit/node-sdk); confirm the copyright holder and year.

Minimum OS versions no current Xcode can build

The podspec says iOS 10.0 and macOS 10.11, and Package.swift says .iOS(.v10), .macOS(.v10_10). Xcode 27 rejects those deployment targets, so the 3.6.0 publication only passed with a temporary validation override and --allow-warnings (see CONTRIBUTING.md once #48 lands), and every future release would need the same workaround.

  • Decide the new minimums (the 3.6.0 validation build used iOS 15.0 and macOS 12.0). Apps that still support older OS versions keep working with 3.6.0 and earlier, but wouldn't get newer releases.
  • Raise them in both Transloadit.podspec and Package.swift, note it in the changelog, and drop the override from CONTRIBUTING.md once a plain pod trunk push validates.
