Direzione di ricerca

Start with the vertical BarChart implementation and its existing tests for the variant prop; the issue does not name their file paths. Check how series are grouped and stacked, then compare the proposed stackGroups behavior with the fork branch linked in the issue. Done means series sharing a stack id stack together, unassigned series stand alone, and existing charts keep their current behavior; horizontal orientation is out of scope.

Descrizione

BarChart stacks every series or none (variant: "grouped" | "stacked"). A common chart needs both: Desktop as its own bar beside one stacked Android + iOS bar per category. ChatKit's widget gallery "stacked bar chart" template does exactly this with a per-series stack key.

Proposal: an optional stackGroups prop on the vertical BarChart that maps a series key to a stack id. Series sharing an id stack; the rest stand alone. Existing charts don't change.

<BarChart data={installs} categoryKey="day" stackGroups={{ Android: "mobile", iOS: "mobile" }} />

We have a working implementation with tests on a fork branch (https://github.com/farpointhq/openui/tree/feat/bar-chart-stack-groups) and would be glad to open a PR if you're open to the change. variant: "stacked" would ignore stackGroups, and horizontal orientation would be out of scope for a first pass.
