Direzione di ricerca

Start with the existing Project resource's Cloud ID and ServiceAccount reference handling, since the issue asks to reuse that mechanism, and read the Cloud e2e suite to see how resources are created and cleaned up. Build the ApiKey CRD and Go types, then the lifecycle and the token Secret write, with unit tests for each. Done means applying an ApiKey CR creates the key and writes its token to the named Secret, and the gdt e2e test leaves no keys behind.

Descrizione

Goal

A user can create a Temporal Cloud API key from Kubernetes and get its token in a Kubernetes Secret.

Tasks

  • ApiKey CRD and Go types
  • Create, update and delete the API key in Temporal Cloud, with deletion policy
  • Write the token to a Kubernetes Secret, handling a crash between create and the Secret write
  • Reference handling: the owner accepts either a Cloud ID or a reference to a ServiceAccount CR, reusing the mechanism from Project
  • Add a gdt e2e test for ApiKey to the Cloud e2e suite, and extend the cleanup to API keys
  • Docs and an example CR

Definition of done

  • Applying an ApiKey CR creates the key, and its token appears in the named Secret.
  • A reference to a ServiceAccount CR resolves once it's Ready.
  • Unit tests cover the lifecycle, the reference and the token Secret.
  • The ApiKey e2e test runs in the Cloud e2e CI job, and no API keys are left behind after a run.
  • The ApiKey resource is documented in the README, with an example CR.
