Start by tracing how the integration reads lock users and fires credential_used events, then inspect the Matter lock data handling that currently drops these events. Use the two Matter Server log examples to understand the userIndex and credential types involved. Done means Apple Home PIN and Home Key uses can emit an event with the lock user index and credential kind, with tests covering those cases.

Descrizione

My U400 is shared from Apple Home, so the residents are Apple Home users, not LCM users. When one of them unlocks, the lock says who it was, but LCM drops the event and HA has nothing to go on. HA's Matter lock only keeps operationSource in changed_by.

Two unlocks from the Matter Server log (fw 3.1.1.0, LCM on #1745):

Keypad, PIN set in Apple Home:

lockOperationType: 1 operationSource: 3 userIndex: 2 fabricIndex: 1 credentials: { credentialType: 3, credentialIndex: 2 }

Home Key:

lockOperationType: 1 operationSource: 10 userIndex: 1 fabricIndex: 1 credentials: { credentialType: 10, credentialIndex: 0 }

LCM reads every user for both and then fires nothing. I know Aliro isn't reported from any lock yet.

Would you consider firing credential_used (or a separate event) for these too, with the lock's userIndex and the credential kind (pin, aliro)? There's no name to give, but the index is enough; I'd map 1 and 2 to people on my side. Right now an Apple Home PIN looks exactly like a code nobody set up, so I can't alert on unknown codes without also alerting every time someone in the house uses their own PIN.
