What are you trying to do?

Install any extension

What platform, and PIE version are you using?

Most recent PIE versions (this bug has existed for a while).

Pre-requisites:

  • You must have ondrej/php repo installed (i.e. which phpenmod valid)
  • You must have a separate non-Ondrej-controlled PHP install (e.g. compile PHP from source)

Steps to reproduce the issue

  • Invoke PIE to install any extension using the non-Ondrej PHP

What do you expect to happen?

The extension should install and be enabled

What is actually happening

There is an error enabling the extension in PHP INI; it carries thru to the next attempt, so eventually works.

Anything else?

  • which phpenmod exists, so OndrejPhpenmod is tried
  • however when using the separate PHP instance, phpenmod <the-ext> won't enable the extension
  • We need to be more clever about whether the PHP we're invoking is actually the Ondrej one
