Direzione di ricerca

Start by reviewing the attached VisualVM log and the memory monitoring behavior while VisualVM monitors multiple long-running JVMs. Compare memory use over time with the reported expected range of 200–400 MB and the observed growth toward the 4 GB heap limit. Done means identifying and fixing the cause of the growth, then confirming memory remains near the expected range during a reproduction lasting multiple days.

Descrizione

bug

Describe the bug
Hi, I have this situation, VisualVM is using all the memory I gave the it via JVM parameter.

To Reproduce
Steps to reproduce the behavior:

  1. Open VisualVM with -Xmx 4g.
  2. Run another two other JVMs, all long term, for multiple days, monitor all three VMs.
  3. Go back to the computer from time to time and check on VisualVM, nothing interesting is happening.
  4. Go back to the computer and check VisualVM - it uses all the memory.

Expected behavior
Normal memory usage, around 200-400 MB.

Actual behavior
VisualVM uses all the memory - in my case 4 GB.
