Direzione di ricerca

Start by reading the component grouping and table column generation entry points to find where component layer data is available. Add an optional column that shows Front, Back, or Both for each component group; done when users can enable it and see the correct layer for each group. The issue names no files or tests, so locate the relevant code and checks in the repository.

Descrizione

Hi!

I often solder PCBs using a reflow oven, which means I have to populate one side of the PCB at a time. Therefore, while I am checking if I have all components (and checking the "Sourced" checkbox), I immediately sort the components by type (resistors, capacitors, connectors, ...), as well as by which layer they are located on.

I believe this could be made easier by having an additional optional column that displays the layer of each component/group of components. The column would simply say "Front", "Back", or "Both" (I sort components that are on both layers separately so they don't get lost in the component piles of a specific layer).

Hopefully I didn't miss this functionality if it already exists, and thanks in advance for considering this new feature.
Otherwise the IBOM is perfect for my workflow and saves me a lot of time, so thank you for all the hard work!
