Start with plot_abundance_at_age and the filter_data step it calls, and see how the module is picked from the shared "abundance" label. Reproduce the error by selecting NUMBERS_AT_LENGTH or SPR_SERIES. Done means the function only offers modules that work with age-based plots, or it fails with a clear message. The maintainer has not chosen a fix, so confirm the approach in the thread before coding.

Descrizione
The plot_abundance_at_age function currently identifies data based on the "abundance" label. However, many models reuse this label across modules, including "NUMBERS_AT_AGE", "NUMBERS_AT_LENGTH", "SPR_SERIES", "TIME_SERIES", etc. The default behavior of filter_data allows for user selection of which module to use for plotting, but some of these modules will throw errors if selected (e.g., "NUMBERS_AT_LENGTH").
This seems like it could be readily confusing for many users. It would probably be a good idea to restrict the allowable modules for users to select to only those that are applicable to the plotting function being used ("NUMBERS_AT_AGE" in this case).
This issue likely applies to more cases than the one identified here, and I am not confident as to a solution, but wanted to point it out.
