Start by locating the task details endpoint and the code that updates a task’s due date, then trace how journal days are represented and updated. The issue reports no interface path to add a task to a journal day; done means there is a way to make that change from task details or another interface entry point.

From the tasks details screen, or anywhere else for that matter, there is no way in the interface to add a task to a journal day. I think this might have drifted from Due Date as some point, but not sure.
