Direzione di ricerca

Start with src/git/src/mcp_server_git/server.py and read CONTRIBUTING.md for how reference servers demonstrate protocol features. Inspect the existing helpers and their tests to understand repository confinement and flag-injection guards, then determine how prompts can reuse them for staged diffs or working-tree changes. Done means adding a small number of data-backed prompts that follow those constraints; the specific prompts are a maintainer decision.

Descrizione

enhancement server-git v2
Problem

The git server registers tools only (src/git/src/mcp_server_git/server.py). CONTRIBUTING.md asks the reference servers to demonstrate protocol features beyond Tools, and Prompts are a natural fit here.

Proposal

Add a small number of data-backed prompts, for example one that embeds the staged diff and asks for a commit message, and one that summarizes working-tree changes. They should reuse the existing helpers so the --repository confinement and flag-injection guards apply unchanged. Whether and which prompts to add is a maintainer's call.
