Direzione di ricerca

The issue references adding an adaptive multipole method (AMM) for noise reduction in MEG data, similar to tSSS. Start by reading the attached paper to understand the algorithm and provided code. Look at existing noise reduction methods in mne-python, such as tSSS, to see where AMM would fit. Determine the required changes to the codebase for integration, likely in preprocessing modules. Testing would involve comparing AMM performance with existing methods on sample datasets.

Descrizione

ENH
Describe the new feature or enhancement

Should we include the adaptive multi pole method (AMM) introduced in this paper (attached and cited)? It behaves similarly to tSSS in spheroidal coordinates and they provide code.

Describe your proposed implementation

It should be alongside other noise reduction methods like tSSS.

Describe possible alternatives

I can't think of any alternatives
