How we release updates to VS code

As we release the 'GA' of the VS Code extension, let me outline a few things to expect.

  • We ship our extension in 2 ways.
    • a Preview channel with the tag "pre-release"
    • a Release channel

On each release to the Release channel, we will increment the minor version number.
for example:

  • the release channel is showing 1.0.xxxx, the pre-release channel will have 1.2.xxxx.
  • when we ship 1.2, the pre-release channel will switch to 1.3.xxxx.

Known issues with release version of VS Code extension for Copilot Studio.

This post will catalog the known issues with the current release version of VS code and workarounds ( if any ) while we are working on a general fix.

This post will be updated over time to reflect changes.
We will remove items from this post as they are added or repaired in the release branch.
