Start by tracing how MSTest determines the artifact output directory and how that path is reported when running from the command line and Visual Studio Test Explorer. Reproduce with MSTest 4.5.2 and MTP 2.5.2, then compare the reported paths with where the files are written. Done means the reported artifact locations match the actual locations in both environments.

Steps To Reproduce

  1. Run test with command line or in VisualStudio Test Explorer
  2. Wait till test is completed
  3. Review test output

Expected behavior

Artifacts are stored to correct location and correct list of artifacts is shown

Actual behavior

Run with command line
Artifacts are actually stored to current directory but logs shows another location:

Additional context

We are using Microsoft.Testing.Extensions.AzureDevOpsReport to publish test results in pipeline and it's working fine. All attachments are published.
