Start by reading the existing PeriodicExportingMetricReader and Otlp exporter mentioned in the issue to understand the current metric flow. Then investigate the project’s metric-reader entry points and how an endpoint could expose metrics for Prometheus to scrape. Done means a pull-based reader is supported and its exposed metrics can be scraped by a backend.

Currently the only supported metric reader is PeriodicExportingMetricReader, which pushes metric to the OpenTelemetry collector with the help of an Otlp exporter. We should also support the pull model where we expose the metrics at an end point for a backend to scrape.
