Direzione di ricerca

Start at the lstk stop command entry point and trace how it shuts down the Azure emulator; the issue does not name source files or tests. Check how the emulator creates and identifies its resource containers and networks. Done means stopping removes those resources, or offers a flag to do so, and the reproduction steps leave no emulator-managed containers or networks running.

Descrizione

Thanks for lstk. Starting, stopping and switching az interception is very smooth.

After lstk stop, the Azure emulator container stops, but the containers it created for resources keep running:

  • k3d cluster containers for AKS (server, load balancer, agents) and their k3d-* Docker networks
  • ls-<sqlserver>-* (SQL Server)
  • ls-storage-* (Azurite)
  • ls-<functionapp>-* (Functions), ls-dns-server, ls-tcp-forwarder

The emulator doesn't keep Azure state across a restart, so these containers are no longer managed and keep using memory. In one case, a cluster was left with its server and load balancer but no agent nodes.

Steps to reproduce

  1. lstk start
  2. Create an AKS cluster, a SQL server, a storage account and a function app.
  3. lstk stop
  4. Run docker ps.

Expected: lstk stop removes the containers and networks the emulator created, or offers a flag to do so.

Workaround:

docker rm -f $(docker ps -aq --filter name=^ls- --filter name=^k3d-)
docker network rm $(docker network ls -q --filter name=^k3d-)

Environment: lstk 1.4.0, Windows 11 with WSL (Ubuntu), Docker Engine.
