Direzione di ricerca

The issue is about adding seLinuxMount support to the Cinder CSI driver. Start by examining the CSIDriver spec in the cinder-csi-plugin codebase, likely under pkg/csi/cinder/. Look for where mount options are configured and where the driver's capabilities are declared. The Kubernetes enhancement proposals linked provide background on SELinux relabeling. Testing will involve creating a PVC with many files and verifying that the -o context= option is passed during mount to avoid relabeling delays.

Descrizione

kind/feature

/kind feature

What happened:
seLinuxMount is a property of CSIDriver added in Kubernetes 1.25. It declares the driver's ability to mount its volumes separately with different SELinux labels. The reason this matters is because workloads storing many small files on PVs will suffer from very slow startup otherwise.

What you expected to happen:
The CSIDriver to support passing the -o context= option to mount and declare seLinuxMount: true. This would prevent needless relabeling.

How to reproduce it:
Create a PVC with a huge amount of files. When restarting the Pod the container will be in ContainerCreating for quite some time, depending on underlying storage IO
