fix

  • placeholder OPERATOR_KEY_MAIN=3030020100300706052b8104000a04220420…, plus a note that 302d…/302a… are public keys. show the HEX_ECDSA + 0x… alternative.
  • "HBAR spending limits" section: total budget, duration, tiers, spending plans file (spendingPlansConfig.example.json), and a <Warning> that the default is unlimited. use source defaults; upstream docs/configuration.md and hbar-limiting.md are stale.
  • index.mdx cost row: "infra + operator HBAR for relayed transactions + a production mirror node".
  • WebSocket: RPC_HTTP_ENABLED / RPC_WS_ENABLED, WEB_SOCKET_PORT 8546, WEB_SOCKET_HTTP_PORT 8547.
  • say what compose starts. pin ghcr.io/hiero-ledger/hiero-json-rpc-relay:0.79.0 for anything beyond a local trial.
  • "required unless READ_ONLY=true". prereq: operator needs a nonzero balance.

acceptance

  • a reviewer runs docker compose up with the documented .env against testnet and gets eth_chainId → 0x128 (or labels it untested).
