We build SpecStream (affiliation disclosed). The plugin connects Copilot to our hosted MCP server (https://api.specstream.ai/mcp) and ships four skills that make the agent read the request back, show the price and wait for a yes before anything is spent. Setup: sign in with OAuth, or set SPECSTREAM_API_KEY (a key from the workspace; new accounts start with $10 of work). Limits: it is for lists (many rows, conditions every row must meet); for one fact the agent should just search. Paid work never starts without the user approving the quoted maximum. The server is also in the official MCP Registry as ai.specstream/specstream.
