Why

The paid database sits behind an RDS Proxy. If the proxy's target is unhealthy, every paid tenant loses the database even when the cluster itself is fine.

Follow docs/recipes/add-a-service.md.

Steps

  1. Follow docs/recipes/add-a-service.md. Reuse the RDS client.
  2. Model RdsProxyInfo: name, engine family, status, VPC ID, and a target health summary (total targets, available targets). Tags via list_tags_for_resource on the proxy ARN.
  3. Fetcher: describe_db_proxies, then describe_db_proxy_targets per proxy with bounded concurrency (DESCRIBE_CONCURRENCY).
  4. Console: https://console.aws.amazon.com/rds/home?region=<region>#proxy:id=<name>. CLI: aws rds describe-db-proxy-targets --db-proxy-name <name> --region <region>.
  5. Palette entry rds-proxy with alias proxy.

  • Changeset added (minor)
  • cargo fmt --all, cargo clippy --all-targets -- -D warnings, and cargo test --all pass, with output pasted in the PR
