Direzione di ricerca

Start by reading the existing ECA Emacs documentation and its MCP settings, server controls, and tool-permission guidance; the issue does not name specific files. Draft a MemCode setup guide with explicit save and recall examples, workspace scope, and instructions to disable the connection. Confirm the guide fits the client/server boundary and does not duplicate MCP transport documentation.

Descrizione

Hi @ericdallo, I'm Vivek Gupta, Founder & CEO at MemCode.

ECA Emacs already exposes MCP settings and server controls, alongside persisted chats and workspace handling. A focused memory workflow could help someone carry approved preferences or project decisions into a new chat without reattaching their full coding history.

I propose a MemCode MCP setup guide first, with explicit save and recall examples through ECA's existing tool permissions. If useful, a later Emacs command could let the user select the exact text to save. The guide would keep workspace scope clear and explain how to disable the connection.

Would this documentation belong here in eca-emacs or in the ECA server repository? I can prepare a small PR that follows the existing client/server boundary and avoids duplicating MCP transport code.
