Direzione di ricerca

Start by locating GitHubAuthClient and DashboardAccessChecker, then read how their in-memory caches and TTLs are configured. Check the existing Redis store used for sessions, fan-out, or idempotency to see how it can be shared; the issue names no files or tests. Done means both caches can optionally use Redis with their stated TTLs and fall back to in-memory caching when Redis is not configured.

Descrizione

enhancement java
Problem Statement

Installation tokens (GitHubAuthClient, 50-min TTL) and dashboard access decisions (DashboardAccessChecker, 5/10/60-min TTLs) are cached in-memory per process. Under multiple replicas each instance re-warms its own caches and mints its own installation tokens — correct, but duplicated work and extra token-endpoint calls. With Redis arriving for 1.0 (sessions / fan-out / idempotency), these caches could be shared.

Proposed Solution

Optionally back the installation-token cache and the access-control cache with the shared Redis store (keyed by installation id / login, preserving the existing TTLs), falling back to in-memory when Redis is not configured. Pure optimization; no behavior change.

Alternatives Considered
  • Keep per-replica in-memory caches — simplest and correct, just less efficient at scale.
