Descrizione

The mcp-agent recipe shows how to spawn, run commands, and branch a sandbox. If I want to look up current package docs and then try two approaches in isolated sandboxes, the missing piece is how to connect a search tool alongside forkd in the same client.

I work on Parallel and would be happy to contribute a small, optional example in recipes/mcp-agent/README.md. It would extend the existing Cursor setup with Parallel Search MCP: https://search.parallel.ai/mcp, using Streamable HTTP, with web_search and web_fetch. The free endpoint needs no API key, though it has lower rate limits and is intended for light use.

The example would show both server entries and a prompt to find a library's current docs, save the relevant notes and source URLs in a Python sandbox, then BRANCH it and test two approaches in separate children. That gives both children the same starting files without repeating the research. Search stays in the host-side client; forkd still handles sandbox execution and branching.

I'd leave demo.py, the core MCP server, and the workbench image unchanged. This would just document how two existing tools fit together, with a reminder to review web-sourced code before running it. I haven't run the combined workflow yet.

Would a short example like this fit the recipe, or would you prefer to keep it focused on forkd-only protocol verification?
