Start by locating uses of the DDC --canary flag that are hard-coded to true, especially where the ddc module format produces library bundle modules. Confirm that the module format transition is complete before changing those uses; done means the flag is available for new features without breaking library bundle generation.

Descrizione
This serves as an overall tracking issue for cleaning up the usage of the DDC --canary flag across this repo.
Canary mode is currently used only in combination with the "ddc" module format to produce the library bundle module format. This will soon be the only supported module format and the canary flag will be free to be used for the next set of new features.
This issue should be updated when it is time to cleanup uses of the flag where it has been hard coded to true.
