The payload names no source files, so start by finding the sleep/wake resume path and the SD card initialization it calls in the firmware. Reproducing needs an X4 Pro and a serial log, which the reporter does not have yet, so collect one first. Done means the first wake after sleep initializes the SD card without showing "SD card error", confirmed on hardware.

Describe the Bug

On the X4 Pro, waking from sleep is consistently unreliable in a very specific way:

  • A full power-off followed by power-on works normally.
  • The SD card is readable/writable during normal use.
  • EPUBs open correctly and reading progress is saved.
  • After putting the device to sleep, the first wake attempt shows "SD card error".
  • If I put it back to sleep / wake it again immediately, the second wake succeeds and the reader opens normally.

This pattern is highly repeatable. It looks different from a generally bad or unreadable SD card because cold boot works reliably and normal read/write operations work once the device is running.

The original XTEINK microSD card was reformatted and is now functioning normally for storage. The wake-only error remains.

This may be related to #2171, but this case is on X4 Pro + CrossPoint 1.6.5 and the important distinguishing behavior is: first wake fails, immediate second wake succeeds, while cold boot succeeds.

Steps to Reproduce
  1. Boot the X4 Pro from a full power-off.
  2. Open an EPUB and confirm normal reading / saved progress.
  3. Put the device into sleep.
  4. Wake the device.
  5. Observe "SD card error".
  6. Put the device back to sleep and wake it again immediately.
  7. The device starts normally and the SD card is available.
Expected Behavior

The SD card should initialize successfully on the first wake from sleep.

Additional Notes
  • Full power-off / power-on does not reproduce the error.
  • The issue appears specific to the sleep/wake path.
  • The SD card is otherwise writable and functional after reformatting.
  • No serial log is available at the moment.
