Descrizione

The template's browser tests changed in components-web-app#177 (5db12c9). It's on main and will ship in the next template release.

The tests now assume only what every project has: the admin user and the pages its sitemap lists. They no longer depend on the template's sample content, so a project can copy e2e/ unchanged and the tests pass on its own site.

content/6.deployment/7.browser-tests.md needs updating:

  • What they check:
    • Remove "a redirecting route answers with a 308".
    • Remove "an admin can edit and publish a text component…".
    • Remove "an admin can upload and publish an image…".
    • The cache-hit, loading-bar and OG image tests now use pages from the sitemap. The loading-bar test needs at least two pages there, and the OG image test needs the first sitemap page to have an og:image.
  • Intro: it says a build that breaks "logging in or publishing" never reaches a site. Publishing is no longer covered here; content behaviour is tested in the module and bundle.
  • Writing your own tests: say that the template's tests assume nothing beyond the admin and the sitemap, and that a project's own specs are where its pages and content get tested.
  • Test stack: the storage-prefix check after the run is unchanged, but no template test uploads a file any more.
