Direzione di ricerca

The issue lists four changes to document: the thumbnail and general image filters, the JPEG and PNG encoding settings, requiredOnPublish on image components, and the re-encoding steps for existing sites. The payload names no docs page, so start with the linked components-web-app#143 and find the existing image or template-defaults pages in this repo. Done when each listed change is described accurately there, including the bucket cache-folder instruction.

Descrizione

From components-web-app#143, on the template's main:

  • Two filters. The Image entity generates thumbnail (500 px inset, used by the collection cards) and general (1200 px inset, rendered by the Image component, which now shows the image at its own width up to the content column).
  • Encoding: JPEG jpeg_quality: 82 (was 90; about half the size with vips) and PNG png_compression_level: 9 (lossless; 0 wrote uncompressed PNGs).
  • requiredOnPublish: true: publishing an image component without an image fails validation (422 on file).
  • Existing sites: each image gets general generated on its first read after the upgrade (the deploy's cache warm usually covers it). To re-encode old thumbnails, delete the bucket's cache/thumbnail/ folder.
  • Images go through vips (#141) and are capped at 30 MP.
