Descrizione

Summary

The fused-equivalence QA harness (.agents/skills/senpi-qa/scripts/scenarios/fused-equivalence-qa.mjs) prints each mismatch as <path>: golden=<v> actual=<v>, where each value is JSON.stringify(v)?.slice(0, 160) with no truncation marker, and it prints at most 12 mismatch rows per case. Its default (non --evidence) output therefore cannot prove that two runs fail the same way: a run whose failure differs only after character 160, or beyond the 12th row, prints byte-identically.

Why it matters

Tooling that compares a head run with a base run (for example, to decide that a known-red EQ case is pre-existing and not a regression) has to read the printed log. With silent truncation the only fail-closed answer is "unprovable", which makes every case with a long value (request bodies, message arrays, system prompts) or more than 12 mismatches impossible to classify. In one real run all 19 failing cases were unprovable this way.

Reproduction

  1. Two runs whose actual for one case differs only after the first 160 characters of a long JSON value.
  2. Compare the default output of both runs: the mismatch rows are identical.

Expected

Either (preferred) the comparison basis is the full, machine-readable mismatch set (--evidence rows written to a JSON artifact on every run), or the printed form marks truncation explicitly (e.g. …(+N chars) and …(+N more rows)), so a consumer can tell "same" from "possibly cut".

Actual

Values are cut at 160 characters and rows capped at 12 with no marker.

Acceptance

  • A run emits full mismatch rows (per case, every row, untruncated) in a JSON artifact by default or behind a documented flag used by CI/receipts.
  • If the human-readable output still truncates, it says so per value and per case.
